High Friends in Places

Yesterday I received a wonderful email from Annie Hardy of Giant Drag after donating some money to go towards her upcoming album. Giant Drag is one of my favorite bands and I am so excited to hear new music from Annie, but since they got dropped from their record label and Micah quit the band funding the new album might be difficult. She needs all the help she can get, so go here or here and listen to their music and maybe even make a donation.

Happy National Record Store Day!

I just got back from Newbury Comics on Newbury Street where Mates of State performed. They were so great live! I am hoping to see them again in May when they come to New Haven, CT.

Also while I was there I bought Giant Drag's Hearts and Unicorns and the Storytelling soundtrack by Belle and Sebastian.

North Carolina, Beware!!

Guilford Update: According to a source, Greensboro, North Carolina is currently experiencing an infestation of turtles. Local scientists have yet to identify the species, so residents are being advised to avoid the lakes in which these turtles dwell until more information can be gathered. The turtles move in packs of thirteen and camouflage themselves with orange mud. Watch Out! These crafty creatures are probably up to no good.

BEST!!!

This picture reflects the things I like/love much better than I ever could. Thanks Marg!!

GAH!

I have had a mashup of R. Kelly "I'm a Flirt" and Broken Social Scene's "7/4 (Shoreline)" stuck in my head for two days. I downloaded it here. I suggest you check it and the rest of the mashups out.
Here are some things that I like and some that I love:

It was supposed to be the best night of their lives...

If you like Scream, I Know What You Did Last Summer and Urban Legend go see Prom Night now! You will be glad you did.

Thanks to Margo for the artwork!!
